Since January 2009 I have been the regional chairman of the SVP in Brixen/Bressanone, which has 41 local groups and some 8,000 members. My deputy is Magdalena Amhof, city councillor for Brixen/Bressanone.

As regional chairman I represent the area in the party executive and in the party committee and I am responsible for executing the resolutions and for the activities of the regional committees on the environment, the economy, social affairs, women, pensioners, youth and agriculture. As one of the regional chairmen I am a member of the conference regional chairmen, an advisory body to the party.
